…Police have been investigating for three months

Sunday Observer - - NEWS - According

Confirming that there are on-going investigations, Chief Police Information and Communication Officer Superintendent Khulani Mamba said the police were only investigating the report by the SACCOS and not cases of individual teachers as some were currently potential witnesses.

He said according to their records, the amount which the SACCOS was defrauded had not been quantified as they were waiting on management to avail all the accounts of teachers implicated in the alleged fraud.

He said they were appraised that there were irregularities in that owing accounts were cleared and teachers given new loans outside of procedure.
