120 Swazis directly employed by Swazi mobile

Sunday Observer - - NEWS -

The notion that foreigners make better employees than Swazis has been dispelled by Swazi Mobile as no foreigner is hired by the company, presently. On inception, the company committed to hiring locals and phase out foreigners gradually as many of the skilled employees hired were Swazis. It was revealed that even with the Swazi Mobile Experience Centres, the employees hired were trained and redeployed back to their communities. Gamedze said,“In Pigg’s Peak we hired people from the surrounding areas, trained them and then deployed them back to work with their local communities.” Gamedze further disclosed, “We have even realised with the international companies we work with that they have a pool of skilled Swazis working there which proves that Swazis are skilled but because of limited opportunities locally, they crossed the border for employment and better pay. Swazi mobile has unlocked the Swazi skills audit that is littered around the world with the opening of the company.”
