Po­lice of­fi­cers’ fit­ting send-off for their for­mer com­mis­sioner

He was the coun­try’s first Swazi po­lice com­mis­sioner and a gun salute marked the end of his jour­ney on earth. Se­nior po­lice of­fi­cers started ar­riv­ing at his Zom­bodze home at about 3am, in­vig­o­rat­ing the pro­ceed­ings as they took over the cer­e­mony led by Chap­lain Mduduzi Makhanya who tick­led mourn­ers with his light­hearted ban­ter.

At around 04:20, the cas­ket was brought to the fully packed tent At around 05: 40am, mourn­ers started leav­ing for Maliyad­uma where the burial took place. At around 07:25am the cas­ket was low­ered into the ground. As the cas­ket was be­ing low­ered, a num­ber of mourn­ers cried and some had to be com­forted by their rel­a­tives. In­clud­ing those who cried were his two wives and some fam­ily mem­bers. Speak­ing on be­half of the fam­ily at the grave­yard was Bishop SDZ Mtetwa who thanked each and every mourner who came to pay their last re­spect to the late act­ing Ludzidzini Gover­nor. He also asked the fam­ily to re­main united even af­ter the burial.
