Police back from investigating Sipho’s past
The local police who left the country over three weeks ago to investigate Sipho Shongwe’s past have returned to the country.
Well-placed sources said the police mad head way, without stating what it is that was found.
Of note, the police were initially said to have been trying to link Shongwe to a heist which took place in 1997 which saw two security officers killed when E17million was taken by several robbers.
The Sipho Shongwe who was involved in that incident was, according to South African media archives, sentenced to two life sentences.
However, the local man, this past week revealed his tainted past when he said he was released on parole while serving a 27-year sentence in March 2008.
