PUBLIC MUST COOPERATE WITH THE POLICE - PICO
Chi e f Pol i c e a nd In f o rm a t i on Communications Off i c e r ( CPICO) Superintendent Khulani Mamba (CPICO) asked for co-operation from member of the public so police officers are not forced to use force on them.
The mouthpiece was seemingly reluctant in finding more details about the matter as he did not bother to even ask to see the video.
“We do not have the right to assault accused persons. We c ondemn v i ol e nce whether it is done by us or members of t he public,” Mamba said.
He promised that police were still going to investigate about the video; he added that if the officers are found guilty they will be summoned to a disciplinary hearing.
