Chi e f Pol i c e a nd In f o rm a t i on Com­mu­ni­ca­tions Off i c e r ( CPICO) Su­per­in­ten­dent Khu­lani Mamba (CPICO) asked for co-op­er­a­tion from mem­ber of the pub­lic so po­lice of­fi­cers are not forced to use force on them.

The mouth­piece was seem­ingly re­luc­tant in find­ing more de­tails about the mat­ter as he did not bother to even ask to see the video.

“We do not have the right to as­sault ac­cused per­sons. We c on­demn v i ol e nce whether it is done by us or mem­bers of t he pub­lic,” Mamba said.

He promised that po­lice were still go­ing to in­ves­ti­gate about the video; he added that if the of­fi­cers are found guilty they will be sum­moned to a dis­ci­plinary hear­ing.
