Mbabane here we come!

Sunday Observer - - FEATURES -

We would like to thank the people of Madlangempisi, for their hospitality during our visit totheir area last week. The visit was mutually beneficial as many people got to have their queries addressed, signed up for new policies, and paid their premiums, while we were able to assess what our customers in the area needed from us. We are on the move again; from last week Thursday to end of February we will be stationed at the Mbabane Plaza, bringing all our insurance products closer to the people again. We invite you to come pay us a visit so that you are informed about our latest insurance options designed for you. Since we are bringing a functional office, all services shall be offered including policy uptake, upgrading and more.

To ensure familiarity with our products, we shall be running refresher articles just to advise on what solutions are available for you best benefit. There is an array of products to choose from in our portfolio, these include Life Policies, Funeral policies, Health insurance products, Legalinsurance and even loans.

We will obviously not address everything in one sitting, so do watch this space every Sunday for updates.

The product that is currently flying off the shelves the Student Medical Cover, as the new year has just started, fresh university entrants and con- tinuing student, studying in South Africa are getting assistance with regards to the visa requirement through this cover. The Student Medical Cover is provided by United General Insurance (UGI), is managed by Enablemed in South Africa and endorsed by the Department of Home Affairs. The endorsement is assurance that it will be acceptable to South African medical institutions and members will get the benefit of a peace of mind while away from home.

To access it, an annual premium of E3 700 must be paid up front. Proof of payment must be submitted with the application form, and these must be accompanied by proof of acceptance of application to study by the education facility.

Benefits for the Student Medical Cover include GP consultations, access to acute medicine, over-the-counter medication, chronic conditions screening by GP annually or when requested, and chronic conditions cover. It also enables the student to access specialist healthcare, such as maternity care, as well as basic pathology and radiology. HIV and Aids are fully covered. Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Optometry and basic dentistry (preventions, fillings, and extractions) are also covered. Pre-existing conditions are subject to a waiting period of up to 12 months, while optometry benefits are subject to a waiting period of six months. We are looking forward to more and more students signing up for this fantastic product as it will bring peace of mind to parents, knowing that in the event of any medical emergency, their child is in good hands and will get all the necessary help. There is no need to wait until disaster strikes before you start

looking around for the right medical cover for your child. There are still a few people that believe insurance policies are a waste of money, but not having medical insurance in place will see you having to unnecessarily cough up more in the event of illness. Sometimes lives are also lost because of that really grave oversight because some medical procedures cost a lot, to a point where people sometimes painfully opt to forego them for lack of funds, or precious time is lost while they try to pool funds. The Student Medical Cover will ensure you won’t ever have to jump through hoops to get medical attention for your child.

Please do give us a call on 2505 2028 to find out more about the Student Medical Cover and all our our other products. You can also send queries to info@dups, www.face or on Twitter @dupsinsurance or pay us a visit at our offices in Manzini, Matata, Matsapha, Simunye, Nhlangano, Mbabane, Piggs Peak and Siteki.
