Economic meltdown was purposely done - King
His Majesty King Mswati III says the failure of the economy was not a mistake as it was means to launch the country to greatness.
“Others might look at the country and say the economy has been depleted,” the king said, adding that the failure was purposely done and ordained by God.
He said God was long aware that this would happen in the present day while the country was led by King Mswati III, and hence would not turn His face away from the nation.
“God knows us. He knows our struggles. The economic crisis is not just in Eswatini only as it encompasses the whole of Africa,” the king said.
Adding, he stated that God has not forgotten the country and he advised that those who had lost hope while looking at the gloomy economy and giving up should know that God wants people who have faith.
It is in this regard that when Jesus chose his disciples, he chose men who were dedicated and worked hard, committed and had faith. He said God wanted people, who when called to work hard, did not make excuses and look at certain tasks below their stature.
Making an example, he said if men were called to become fishermen, they were supposed to take up the challenge and not look at fishing as a chore for the disenfranchised.
Emphasising, he said when people are called to become farmers, they should not look at it as a dirty engagement because they have no faith in their capabilities. “For a country to succeed, there needs to be people who have commitment. Who when starting a project, they do it very well.” He said the failure of the economy was what would enable the country to greatness such as the role of Goliath and Judas Iscariot in enabling great occurrences in the Bible. He said in the same way, Emaswati should stay unwavering because there Great Man is always with them and he will never leave them.
“In your greatest strife I encourage you today to know that you should take all your problems and put them in His hands because He knows your future hence the entire nation should take their problems and pains to God who will provide correct and consoling responses which will not hurt them.”
Elaborating he said the God Emaswati serve will not give them a stone when they have asked for bread to sustain them as he will give them more than their ask.
“So, what we are going to ask from God today; it might be financial wealth…He will multiply it to manyfold.” Concluding His Majesty acknowledged that the country has been blessed with peace which is by the grace of God.
