THE family of the woman who was stabbed several times to death allegedly by her lover in Ermelo, South Africa, wants to take the law into their own hands as they accuse local police of failing to arrest the suspect.

Nomsa Mngometulu’s family of KaHhihliza/Embangweni under Sandleni Constituency claimed her murderer had been spotted around Lobamba.

One of the deceased’s brothers, said as a family they were on the verge of searching for their sister’s murderer whom they alleged was in the country.

Nomsa’s alleged lover is also a Swazi. She was buried last Sunday.

“There is no effort shown by the police in finding our sister’s murderer.

Provided

This is despite that we provided them with information which we got from the South Africa Police Service (SAPS) about the accident. I personally called the police through the emergency line 999 and alerted them about the matter and this was after we also heard that the killer had been spotted around his home area near Lobamba,” the deceased’s brother said.

He said SAPS tried to contact their local counterparts regarding the matter, but all efforts amounted to naught.

“An officer identified as Phiri in Ermelo said he tried to get hold of the local police under Interpol but without success,” said the brother.

Recorded

A murder case in Ermelo was opened, its recorded as Case No. 447/08/2017.

It is believed that the suspect fled SA to Swaziland after brutally killing the deceased.

“Let police or everyone know that we are capable of finding him and we should not be blamed of what we are going to do afterwards,” an infuriated relative said.

“An officer identified as Phiri in Ermelo said he tried to get hold of the local police under Interpol but without success,” said the brother.
