THIS year’s Walk for Hunger is scheduled for October 29 at the Somhlolo National Stadium.

The Walk For Hunger event was announced by Deputy Prime Minister (DPM) Paul Dlamini yesterday in his offices in Mbabane.

Present during the launch and announcement of the dates was Swazi MTN Chief Executive Officer Ambrose Dlamini, who is also Chairman of the Esicojeni Foundation.

He urged the nation to attend the event without fail. He said this would go a long way in helping the needy to get assistance of any kind. The DPM also urged the media to cover the event so that people could be aware of what the Swazis would be doing to help the needy.

“The event is organised by Esicojeni Foundation, which was established by His Majesty King Mswati III, of which he is also a Patron. It is important that Swazis attend such an event without fail,” Dlamini said.

Esicojeni is a private sector driven initiative, whose activities are coordinated by a Steering Committee.
