Man attacks woman at Yemfo Bar, steals her E100
A 37-year-old man made yet another appearance in court in less than a year for assaulting and robbing a woman of her items.
Jabulani Dlamini of Jubukweni was disappointed when Magistrate Sifiso Vilakati recognised his face and indeed, he confirmed that he once appeared before him for a different charge. This time around, Dlamini is facing three criminal charges said to have been committed on Monday.
It is alleged that he attacked one Nomsa Mtsetfwa, who was enjoying her alcoholic drinks at Yemfo Bar, and stole her money amounting to E100. Dlamini allegedly assaulted her with open hands several times on the face and body before hitting her with a fist on her stomach, thus causing her injuries. The assault is said to have come after he was confronted about the missing money. It is alleged Dlamini continued with his violent behavior when the police were called to the scene of crime as he refused to be arrested. He was charged with theft, assault with intent to cause grievous bodily harm and resisting arrest. When he appeared in court, he was granted bail fixed at E1 000.
