ANC honoured Winnie more in death than life Jesse Jackson
JOHANNESBURG - Civil rights activist, Jesse Jackson, says the ANC didn't show Winnie Madikizela-Mandela enough appreciation.
He says freedom fighters are only appreciated after they die.
Jackson says the ANC honoured her more in death than life.
"People honour martyrs rather than marchers. She cherished being a freedom fighter," says Jackson. Thousands attedended MadikizelaMandela's funeral on Saturday. MadikizelaMandela died on Monday last week. She was laid to rest next to her great-grandchildren at Fourways Memorial Park.
