‘Khu­l­ula Ug­cobo’ lead­ing on Best Song cat­e­gory Sands’ ‘Sands of Time’ on zero votes

A week to go for the Na­tional Arts and Cul­ture Awards (NACAs) and gospel artist Linda Dlamini who has been nom­i­nated on three cat­e­gories; Best Al­bum, Best Male Artists’ and Best Young Artist is cur­rently lead­ing with 2 465 votes in to­tal. This is ac­cord­ing to the vot­ing sta­tis­tics is­sued by the Swazi­land Na­tional Coun­cil of Arts and Cul­ture (SNCAC) CEO Stan­ley Dlamini. Linda is lead­ing in two of the three cat­e­gories he has been nom­i­nated in. On Best Al­bum cat­e­gory for his re­cently re­leased ‘From Lo De­bar to the Palace’ al­bum, he is cur­rently lead­ing with

1 021 votes ahead of Shongwe and Khu­phuka Saved Group, Tlale Makhene and Sands.


On his sec­ond nom­i­nated cat­e­gory; Best Male Artist, he is lead­ing with 755 votes and is once more ahead of Shongwe and Khu­phuka Saved Group, Sands, Mshik­ishi and Ma­gaya, who are yet to be voted for in this cat­e­gory.

Dlamini is only trail­ing in the Best Young Artist with

689 votes where Nondumiso Nh­leko is stand­ing taller with 877 votes.

Speak­ing to Dlamini about his lead­ing on the vot­ing process, he said, “I would like to thank all my fans for, firstly, nom­i­nat­ing me and spend­ing their time vot­ing ‘Lona Ngum­nyaka wetfu’. for me, The song says it all in­deed. I will pray for those who have been sup­port­ing my mu­sic ever since, as this is our year.”
