LINDA DLAMINI LEADING WITH 2 465 NACA VOTES
‘Khulula Ugcobo’ leading on Best Song category Sands’ ‘Sands of Time’ on zero votes
A week to go for the National Arts and Culture Awards (NACAs) and gospel artist Linda Dlamini who has been nominated on three categories; Best Album, Best Male Artists’ and Best Young Artist is currently leading with 2 465 votes in total. This is according to the voting statistics issued by the Swaziland National Council of Arts and Culture (SNCAC) CEO Stanley Dlamini. Linda is leading in two of the three categories he has been nominated in. On Best Album category for his recently released ‘From Lo Debar to the Palace’ album, he is currently leading with
1 021 votes ahead of Shongwe and Khuphuka Saved Group, Tlale Makhene and Sands.
On his second nominated category; Best Male Artist, he is leading with 755 votes and is once more ahead of Shongwe and Khuphuka Saved Group, Sands, Mshikishi and Magaya, who are yet to be voted for in this category.
Dlamini is only trailing in the Best Young Artist with
689 votes where Nondumiso Nhleko is standing taller with 877 votes.
Speaking to Dlamini about his leading on the voting process, he said, “I would like to thank all my fans for, firstly, nominating me and spending their time voting ‘Lona Ngumnyaka wetfu’. for me, The song says it all indeed. I will pray for those who have been supporting my music ever since, as this is our year.”
