SOC­CER – THE 2018 Swaz­iBank Cup fi­nals will take place on April 28 at the Somhlolo Na­tional Sta­dium.

The 15th edi­tion of the tour­na­ment will fea­ture hub giants Manzini Wan­der­ers and de­fend­ing cham­pi­ons Young Buf­faloes, who will be bat­tling it out for the E1mil­lion first prize money.

This was dis­closed by Swaz­iBank Manag­ing Di­rec­tor Zakhele Lukhele dur­ing an in­ter­view af­ter the sec­ond semi-fi­nal game was played at the Somhlolo Na­tional Sta­dium yes­ter­day.

“We are ex­pect­ing the fi­nals to take place on April 29 and we are look­ing for­ward to a great match be­tween Young Buf­faloes and Manzini Wan­der­ers. We con­grat­u­late the two teams for mak­ing it through to the fi­nals as well as Mba­bane Swal­lows and Young Buf­faloes, who will com­pete in the Un­der-20 fi­nals.

“We are still wait­ing for the two fi­nal­ists to com­pete in the women com­pe­ti­tion,” he said.

Lukhele fur­ther stated that they were happy with the progress of the tour­na­ment.

“The tour­na­ment has been pro­ceed­ing smoothly and we com­mend the good be­hav­iour and tremen­dous sup­port shown by the sup­port­ers through­out the com­pe­ti­tion,” he said.

Mean­while, Min­is­ter of Sports, Cul­ture and Youth Af­fairs David ‘Cruiser Ngcamphalala thanked the na­tion for the sup­port­ing the tour­na­ment.

“We are quite pleased that the tour­na­ment has reached the fi­nals and we are happy with the stan­dard dis­played by the teams since the tour­na­ment started. We fur­ther com­mend the sup­port shown by the sup­port­ers since the tour­na­ment started.”

The min­is­ter said they were now look­ing for­ward to the fi­nals.
