Japanese Michelin-starred restaurant setting up shop in Silks Place Kaohsiung in 2016
FIH Regent Group has invited Japanese Michelin- starred restaurant Ukai Tei to open its first international branch at Silks Place Kaohsiung (高雄晶英酒店) in 2016. Following in the footsteps of Regent Berlin, the hotel will be the second hotel under the Regent Group to provide fine Michelin-starred cuisine. In addition, Ukai Tei Kaohsiung is the first branch under the Ukai Group to combine grill and teppanyaki. The teppanyaki section will be served on the second floor with 77 seats, three private dining rooms and a special dessert area as well as an exclusive VIP room that allows gourmets to watch chefs’ fascinating live cooking shows. As for the grill section, it will feature 66 seats and two individual dining rooms. The venue is designed by Japanese interior designer Hashimoto Yukio, who has already worked with Regent and perfectly captured Regent’s elegance.
