Ja­panese Miche­lin-starred restau­rant set­ting up shop in Silks Place Kaoh­si­ung in 2016

FIH Re­gent Group has in­vited Ja­panese Miche­lin- starred restau­rant Ukai Tei to open its first in­ter­na­tional branch at Silks Place Kaoh­si­ung (高雄晶英酒店) in 2016. Fol­low­ing in the foot­steps of Re­gent Berlin, the ho­tel will be the sec­ond ho­tel un­der the Re­gent Group to pro­vide fine Miche­lin-starred cui­sine. In ad­di­tion, Ukai Tei Kaoh­si­ung is the first branch un­der the Ukai Group to com­bine grill and tep­pa­nyaki. The tep­pa­nyaki sec­tion will be served on the sec­ond floor with 77 seats, three pri­vate din­ing rooms and a spe­cial dessert area as well as an ex­clu­sive VIP room that al­lows gourmets to watch chefs’ fas­ci­nat­ing live cook­ing shows. As for the grill sec­tion, it will fea­ture 66 seats and two in­di­vid­ual din­ing rooms. The venue is de­signed by Ja­panese in­te­rior de­signer Hashimoto Yukio, who has al­ready worked with Re­gent and per­fectly cap­tured Re­gent’s el­e­gance.
