The British Council in Taiwan presents British fashion talent to a Taiwan audience for the first time by inviting UK fashion designers to showcase their unique collections on Thursday, April 9, according to a press release from the British Council.

The showcase features a variety of design aesthetics, ranging in style from Mei- hui Liu’s ethical vision of Victorian punk inspired by the New Romantic musical movement, Arlette Ess’s unique prints based on her original ink drawings, Candy Baker’s stylish and directional hosiery design, Claire English’s luxurious and playful jewels, Michelle Lowe-Holder’s environmentally friendly jewelry design, Natacha Marro’s bespoke hand- made shoes, Tatty Devine’s colorful and confident jewels, Sarah Angold’s simultaneously edgy and elegant jewel design and The Rodnik Band’s pop art, the council said.

The cross-cultural and crossdisciplinary visual revelation demonstrates the creative spirit that keeps the United Kingdom one of the most influential and exciting stages for fashion in the world, the council said.
