SCSB spon­sors Teresa Teng re­vival con­cert

The Shang­hai Com­mer­cial & Sav­ings Bank (SCSB,

) on Wed­nes­day held a press con­fer­ence to re­veal that the bank will spon­sor a 3D re­vival con­cert for late Tai­wanese pop diva Teresa Teng ( ) on May. 9.

The con­cert is be­ing or­ga­nized by the Teresa Teng Foun­da­tion (

) and the Teresa Cor­po­ra­tion. Re­port­edly,

Teng Amer­i­can vis­ual ef­fects and dig­i­tal pro­duc­tion com­pany Dig­i­tal Domain was hired for US$10 mil­lion to cre­ate a 3D holo­gram of the renowned singer.

The con­cert, known as the “If a Wish Could Be Made: Teresa Teng 20 Years An­niver­sary Me­mo­rial Con­cert in 3D” ( 20

3D ), will also fea­ture singer Fei Yu-ching ( ) as a spe­cial guest.

To com­mem­o­rate the 20 years since Teng’s un­timely pass­ing, the Chunghwa Post an­nounced on yes­ter­day that the com­pany will soon re­lease a set of me­mo­rial stamps. The stamps will fea­ture four dif­fer­ent pic­tures of Teng, with face val­ues of NT$5, NT$9, NT$13 and NT$15 each. The me­mo­rial stamps will be of­fi­cially avail­able on April. 15, the Chunghwa Post said.
