Councilor demands investigation on ‘leaked’ video footage
Taipei City Councilor Chin Huichu ( ) demanded an investigation after footage showing her lambasting Taipei City Police Commissioner Chiu Feng-kuang (
) was publicized. Chin said that she was shocked to learn of the footage and said it was a violation of privacy.
In the 26-second video footage which was made public on the Internet, viewers can clearly hear Chin shouting at Chiu, “Let me tell you, it’s a matter not only which I am concerned about, every child cares about this … it’s of no use, let me tell you … Chiu Feng-kuang, I am going to remember this quarrel for a long time, and tomorrow you better bring some people who can clarify the matter.”
According to Chiu, the exchange was prompted when she expressed dissatisfaction toward Taipei City Mayor Ko Wen-je’s ( ) measures to guarantee the safety of school children, which lead to her heated exchange in the afternoon with Commissioner Chiu since his statements did not run parallel with those of Ko’s.
Reacting to the footage being released, Chiu said she was shocked and would demand an investigation into the matter.
