AIT rep­re­sen­ta­tives to visit Chi­ayi, Penghu

Rep­re­sen­ta­tives of the Amer­i­can In­sti­tute in Tai­wan’s (AIT) Kaoh­si­ung Branch Of­fice are sched­uled to con­duct con­sular out­reach vis­its to Chi­ayi County in mid-July and Penghu County in Septem­ber to pro­vide ser­vices for U.S. cit­i­zens in the re­gions, the AIT an­nounced yes­ter­day.

In a state­ment, the AIT said the sched­uled out­reach vis­its will of­fer ser­vices to U.S. cit­i­zens in Tai­wan who need to re­new or add pages to their pass­ports, ob­tain a con­sular re­port of birth abroad for a new­born, or help with a U.S. doc­u­ment that needs to be no­ta­rized.

Con­sular of­fi­cers of the AIT will also an­swer ques­tions from any who visit, it noted.

The AIT added that spe­cific ser­vice dates, venues and times will be an­nounced ap­prox­i­mately three weeks in ad­vance through an­nounce­ments on AIT Kaoh­si­ung’s Face­book page at https:// www. face­book. com/ ILoveAITK and AIT Kaoh­si­ung’s web­site at http:// kaoh­si­ung. ait. org. tw/ us­pass­ports.html as well as in lo­cal news­pa­pers.

“If you have up­com­ing travel plans, please check your pass­port ex­pi­ra­tion date and plan well in ad­vance for your trip,” it said.
