CAL wins accolade from Economics Ministry
China Airlines ( CAL) recently received the Excellence in Entrepreneurial Innovation Award (
) from the Ministry of Economic Affairs ( MOEA) for the airline’s achievement in a specially designed project plan.
The award was part of the 4th National Industrial Innovation Award ( ) that is organized bi- annually by the MOEA. This year’s theme centered on the idea of innovation, and encouraged local companies to contribute to the nation.
During the award ceremony on June 3, CAL was awarded with the accolade for the New- Gen 777 Project Plan ( 777 ) , a program that is currently carried out by CAL’s Boeing 777- 300ER fleet
The excellence of the program’s design, artistic concept, advertising campaign and efforts demonstrated by the project team were all reasons which garnered CAL the award.
Aside from earning the award from the MOEA, CAL was also a winner of other recognitions such as the Golden Pin Design Award ( ) and the 2015 Red Dot Award in Design ( ).
CAL has said that the company wishes to show the general public its determination in advocating the art of Taiwan, through the current services seen on the Boeing 777- 300ERs and the A350 fleet that will soon come into the airline’s service. in 18 markets and 280 branches worldwide.
”As a leading bank in Asia, DBS has a growing presence in the three Asian axes with huge growth: Greater China, Southeast Asia and South Asia,” DBS Chief Executive Officer Piyush Gupta stated, further saying that the Australian market has developed into an important trading partner among Asian countries in recent years.
“We believe with DBS’ branching in Australia, we can actively help our clients extend their businesses in Asia.” Gupta said.
Yap, on the other hand, expressed that she hoped with DBS’ expertise in Asian markets, the bank can help Australian businesses promote their own services. DBS Bank was recognized as the “Bank of the Year, Asia” by The Banker, “Best Bank in AsiaPacific” by Global Finance, and also named by Global Finance as the “Safest Bank in Asia” for six consecutive years from 2009 to 2014.
