Israel-Taiwan life sciences conference starts June 7th
A conference to kick off this week will bring together scientists from Taiwan and Israel in an effort to strengthen bilateral cooperation in life sciences.
The 2nd Bilateral Israel-Taiwan Life Sciences Conference, titled “From Basic to Translational Research in Life Sciences,” will be held June 7-9 at Israel’s Tel Aviv University.
Leading scientists from both sides will present their latest work at the conference, the largest science event between the two countries to take place in Israel, said Israel’s representative office in Taiwan.
It will be attended by 18 speakers and poster presenters from Taiwan, as well as other speakers and research students from Israel, it said.
“This conference will enable the 21st century leaders in the area of life sciences to present their ground breaking discoveries, which have already led — and will continue to translate — into improving life quality, treat disease and collaborate for a better future for mankind,” said Israel’s representative to Taiwan Simona Halperin, a driving force for the upcoming event.
This conference could be a pathway for increased collaboration between the scientific communities of Taiwan and Israel, she said.
