Teresa Lu fin­ishes sec­ond at Ja­panese LPGA event

Tai­wanese golfer Teresa Lu fin­ished in sec­ond place at the Yonex Ladies Golf Tour­na­ment in Ja­pan on Sun­day, with a 9-un­der-par 207, edged out by Ja­pan’s Shiho Oyama.

Lu hit four birdies and two bo­geys to card a 2-un­der 70 in the fi­nal round of the tour­na­ment at the Yonex Coun­try Club in Na­gaoka, Ja­pan.

She shot a 6-un­der 66 to take the lead af­ter the first round on Fri­day and fired a 1-un­der 71 in the sec­ond round the fol­low­ing day.

Oyama, mean­while, won cham­pi­onship with a three round to­tal of 10-un­der 206.

The tour­na­ment, an event on the LPGA of Ja­pan Tour, car­ries a purse of 60 mil­lion Ja­panese yen (US$477,707).
