Teresa Lu finishes second at Japanese LPGA event
Taiwanese golfer Teresa Lu finished in second place at the Yonex Ladies Golf Tournament in Japan on Sunday, with a 9-under-par 207, edged out by Japan’s Shiho Oyama.
Lu hit four birdies and two bogeys to card a 2-under 70 in the final round of the tournament at the Yonex Country Club in Nagaoka, Japan.
She shot a 6-under 66 to take the lead after the first round on Friday and fired a 1-under 71 in the second round the following day.
Oyama, meanwhile, won championship with a three round total of 10-under 206.
The tournament, an event on the LPGA of Japan Tour, carries a purse of 60 million Japanese yen (US$477,707).
