Weather will remain dry until mid-June, says CWB
Taiwan’s weather hit a discernible dry spell in early June and is expected to remain dry until mid- June, the Central Weather Bureau ( CWB) said Tuesday.
After this year’s plum rain season began on May 1, there was sporadic rainfall, CWB Director Cheng Ming-dean ( said on the bureau’s website.
Beginning May 20, there was a wave of continuous rainfall, with the rainfall in central and southern Taiwan continuing into late May, Cheng said.
In early June, the weather turned dry and will probably remain so until mid June, he said.
How much precipitation is in store after mid-June is not yet clear, he said.
