Tigerair plans to launch Kaohsiung-Osaka flights
Tigerair Taiwan, a joint venture between Taiwan’s China Airlines and Singapore’s Tiger Airways, said Monday it will launch a service between Kaohsiung in southern Taiwan and Osaka in Japan on July 3 to capitalize on increasing travel between the two countries.
Starting “sometime Monday” until 23:59 p.m. Wednesday, the budget carrier said, it will offer one-way tickets online for as little as NT$999 (US$32) for flights between the two cities.
The tickets will be valid for travel during the period July 3 to Oct. 24, it said.
The airline will operate one daily trip between Kaohsiung and Osaka, departing Taiwan at 4:05 p.m. and leaving Japan at 11:15 a.m. (Japan time) the next day.
