China Air­lines host­ing mas­sive Ja­pan tourism expo June 18-21

Tai­wan’s na­tional car­rier China Air­lines is host­ing a large Ja­pan tourism show at the Taipei Expo Park from June 18 to 21. The four­day, ad­mis­sions-free “Dear Ja­pan” expo will fea­ture over 50 booths which fea­tures Ja­panese dance, spe­cial sou­venirs, and unique cui­sine rep­re­sent­ing twenty Ja­panese cities and pre­fec­tures. Thou­sands of small gifts have been pre­pared for par­tic­i­pants.

In 2014, Tai­wanese tourists trav­el­ing to Ja­pan reached 2.83 mil­lion, up 27 per­cent from 2013. For the pe­riod from Jan­uary through April of 2015, vis­its in­creased 26 per­cent from the same pe­riod in 2014.

Cities and pre­fec­tures fea­tured in­clude: Hokkaido, Ao­mori, Akita, Iwate, Shizuoka, Fukuoka, Ku­mamoto, Hiroshima, Ok­i­nawa and Ehime.
