China Airlines hosting massive Japan tourism expo June 18-21
Taiwan’s national carrier China Airlines is hosting a large Japan tourism show at the Taipei Expo Park from June 18 to 21. The fourday, admissions-free “Dear Japan” expo will feature over 50 booths which features Japanese dance, special souvenirs, and unique cuisine representing twenty Japanese cities and prefectures. Thousands of small gifts have been prepared for participants.
In 2014, Taiwanese tourists traveling to Japan reached 2.83 million, up 27 percent from 2013. For the period from January through April of 2015, visits increased 26 percent from the same period in 2014.
Cities and prefectures featured include: Hokkaido, Aomori, Akita, Iwate, Shizuoka, Fukuoka, Kumamoto, Hiroshima, Okinawa and Ehime. A variety of discounts are available on collectible travel gear.
