TECO an­nounces a new chair to re­place CK Liu

Dur­ing this year’s share­holder meet­ing on June 11, elec­tronic ap­pli­ances pro­ducer TECO an­nounced that out­go­ing Chair­man C.K. Liu ( ) would be suc­ceeded by cur­rent Chief Ex­ec­u­tive Of­fi­cer Chiu Chun-chi ( ).

Liu has headed the com­pany for 8 years since 2007, and will re­main in the com­pany and be in charge of daily oper­a­tions. TECO’s prof­its in the fis­cal year of 2014 was up eight per­cent from 2013, with earn­ings per share at NT$2.06, a 17-year high. The com­pany’s Go Eco ini­tia­tive aims to lead the is­land in in­creas­ing the share of al­ter­na­tive energy in­fra­struc­ture.
