Caffeine-containing shampoo strengthens women’s hair

In 2015, tests were done on 600 women above 35 years old in Taiwan to test the effects of caffeine shampoo. The results showed that up to 70 percent of women age 55 and above in the test had intense hair-loss problems. After menopause, female hair tends to grow thinner and fall out. Researchers at the University of Jena found out that caffeine can strengthen hair follicles as well as the scalp.

Moreover, research has shown that a combination of plants and caffeine called phyto-caffeine complex can help make hair healthier. Thus, Plantur 39, a renowned shampoo producer established by Dr. Kurt Wolff in 1905, has released caffeine-containing shampoos. Clinical tests conducted at the Charité University Clinic in Berlin showed that after two minutes, the caffeine entered the hair follicles and remained there for around 24 hours so daily application of the shampoo is important. Overall, Plantur 39’s caffeine shampoo is perfect for women over age 40 experiencing increased hair loss.
