7-Miche­lin-star Ital­ian chef in­vited to lec­ture in ROC

Dayeh Univer­sity’s ( ) Depart­ment of Res­tau­rant, Ho­tel and In­sti­tu­tional Man­age­ment re­cently in­vited Ar­mando Palmieri, a seven-Miche­lin-starred patissier from Italy to teach stu­dents about bak­ery, pas­try and del­i­ca­cies.

Palmieri, renowned as the top patissier in Alma, an in­ter­na­tional ed­u­ca­tional and train­ing cen­ter for Ital­ian cui­sine, vis­ited Dayeh Univer­sity ear­lier this June, show­ing how desserts can be made de­li­cious and healthy at the same time. He also demon­strated how one same dessert can be served and eaten dif­fer­ently by var­i­ous cul­tures.

Ac­cord­ing to the school’s staff, a bak­ery pro­gram has been set up this se­mes­ter and the school will con­tinue to in­vite Palmieri for short lec­tures in the fu­ture.
