Nanhua University students make green the waste land

The China Post - - LOCAL -

Students of the Nanhua University ( ) Department of Architecture and Landscape Design ( ) turned waste land into green land, in collaboration with Chiayi County’s community planning team.

A plot of land located in front of the university has long been left empty, troubling the county government. The plot is also located next to County Highway 104. Recently, the county government held a community planning contest, aiming to inspire creative ideas from local residents and students and to embellish the land.

The winning prize went to a group of Nanhua University students. They drew up a plan to turn the waste land into green land based on the theme of “lanes in the fields,” reflecting one of the county’s most typical images.
