2nd Sino- Ja­panese War ex­hibit to open in Au­gust

A spe­cial ex­hi­bi­tion will be held at the Armed Forces Mu­seum from Aug. 15 to Nov. 28 to com­mem­o­rate the 70th an­niver­sary of the Re­pub­lic of China’s vic­tory in the Sec­ond Si­noJa­panese War and Tai­wan’s retro­ces­sion.

The ex­hi­bi­tion is be­ing coor­ga­nized by the Min­istry of Na­tional De­fense, the Armed Forces Mu­seum and the Min­istry of Ed­u­ca­tion.

Ac­cord­ing to the mu­seum, the pur­pose of the ex­hi­bi­tion is to set the his­tor­i­cal record straight and al­low the in­ter­na­tional com­mu­nity and so­ci­ety to un­der­stand that the vic­tory of the Re­pub­lic of China in the 8-year war of re­sis­tance was the re­sult of the hard fight put up by the mil­i­tary un­der the lead­er­ship of gen­er­alis­simo Chi­ang Kai-shek.
