In­ter­na­tional gath­er­ing to com­bat cli­mate change held to­day or­ga­nized by IPCC

Cli­mate change is upon us, and in or­der to com­bat it, the In­ter­gov­ern­men­tal Panel on Cli­mate Change (IPCC) has pro­posed coun­tries world­wide de­velop a trithemed strat­egy based on tech­nol­ogy, eco­nomic po­ten­tial and so­cio-sys­tem change.

The 2015 In­ter­na­tional Part­ner­ship Con­fer­ence on Car­bon Re­duc­tion Strate­gies; Low-car­bon Tech­nolo­gies Adop­tion held to­day is the En­vi­ron­men­tal Pro­tec­tion Ad­min­is­tra­tion’s ( ) re­sponse to the IPCC’s call to arms. It will mainly fea­ture talks on in­ter­na­tional co­op­er­a­tion and de­vel­op­ing low-car­bon tech­nol­ogy

The con­fer­ence, held at Na­tional Tai­wan Univer­sity’s Tsai Lec­ture Hall ( ), will see a gath­er­ing of rep­re­sen­ta­tives from the U.S., Ger­many, South Korea, Ja­pan, In­done­sia, Philip­pines, and Viet­nam, in­ter­na­tional or­ga­ni­za­tion ex­perts from the Global En­vi­ron­ment Fa­cil­ity (GEF) and the Global Car­bon Cap­ture and Stor­age In­sti­tute (GCCSI).
