FOOD Taipei 2015: Asia’s most com­plete food show

FOOD Taipei (Taipei Int’l Food Show), one of the most com­pre­hen­sive food ex­pos in Asia, kicks off to­day.

Thou­sands of firms have signed up to show­case their prod­ucts, or look for op­por­tu­ni­ties to lever­age Tai­wan’s mas­sive scale and se­lec­tion of pro­duce and marine prod­ucts (fresh, dried, frozen and pro­cessed) that are shipped to the mar­kets of Ja­pan, Europe and the U.S.

The four-day expo aims to of­fer a com­pre­hen­sive in­dus­try per­spec­tive on a rare 5-in-1 show — Food Taipei, FoodTech & Phar­maT­ech Taipei, Taipei Pack, Tai­wan Horeca and Halal Tai­wan. — that joins ev­ery facet of food go­ing to or com­ing from abroad.

A to­tal of 1,642 ex­hibitors are us­ing 3,920 booths to form a mas- sive one-stop-pro­cure­ment hub that stretches across the Nan­gang Ex­hi­bi­tion Hall and TWTC Hall 1.

Adding a global touch are the 36 coun­try pavil­ions with 600 booths to dis­play their best prod­ucts. New na­tions sign­ing up in­clude Ger­many, Poland, Paraguay, the Nether­lands and Bos­nia and Herze­gov­ina. As you stroll around the show­ground, get set to take in the aroma of spicy Thai­land, sa­vor the de­lec­ta­ble kim­chi and snacks from South Korea and sip your way through fla­vor­ful whites and reds from Ger­many and Bel­gium.

FOOD Taipei, a lead­ing plat­form for mar­ket­ing, is or­ga­nized by TAITRA (the Tai­wan Ex­ter­nal Trade De­vel­op­ment Coun­cil) and un­folds at both the Nan­gang Ex­hi­bi­tion Hall and the TWTC Ex­hi­bi­tion Hall 1 from June 24 to 27.
