NBA player Kobe Bryant to visit Taipei in August
Kobe Bryant will visit Taiwan on Aug. 5 to attend the summer basketball camp “Rise” organized by Nike Taiwan.
During his one- day stay, the Los Angeles Lakers superstar will instruct young players from Taiwan, Hong Kong, and China at the camp, which is being held at the National Taiwan University Sports Center.
The 36-year-old Bryant is also scheduled to attend the opening ceremony of a Nike store in Jiantan in Taipei and will donate a basketball jersey to a local elementary school basketball team.
Bryant will be visiting Taiwan for the fourth time, following previous trips here in 2006, 2007, and 2009. It will likely be his last trip to Taiwan as an active player because he is expected to retire after the 2015-16 season.
