TED talks this fall to be broad­cast on PBS

PBS and the non­profit group TED are team­ing up to of­fer a six-night live event in New York this Novem­ber with speak­ers in­clud­ing ac­tor Adam Driver, mu­si­cian Ru­fus Wain­wright and au­thor Se­bas­tian Junger.

The TED talks will be hosted by co­me­dian and au­thor Baratunde Thurston and ac­tress Sara Ramirez.

They will be held at The Town Hall in New York’s Theater Dis­trict from Nov. 1-6. Top­ics over the six nights in­clude war, ed­u­ca­tion and science. Other par­tic­i­pants in­clude chef Sam Kass and singer-song­writer An­gela McCluskey. Tick­ets are US$100.

The shows will be taped and broad­cast as three one-hour spe­cials on PBS this spring.
