Audi shows twin coupes for 2016 in Xinyi show­case event

Audi show­cased its twin 2016 coupes, the TT and the TTS re­cently in Xinyi Dis­trict, the au­tomaker said.

Fit­ted with the six-speed au­to­matic S tronic trans­mis­sion, the TTS will hit 100 kilo­me­ters per hour from 0 in 4.6 sec­onds up to the elec­tron­i­cal­ly­capped top speed of 250 kilo­me­ters per hour, ac­cord­ing to Audi.

The Audi TT/TTS fea­tures a turbo-charged 2.0-liter four cylin­der en­gine, an al­most en­tirely dig­i­tal in­ter­face that Audi calls a “vir­tual cock­pit,” a dark classy in­te­rior and the look of a pre­mium sports coupe.

In Taipei, auto buffs viewed the 2016 line at a show­case fea­tur­ing a light show and live band. Visi­tors who checked in and shared their ex­pe­ri­ence on Face­book will re­ceive a gift di­rect from the Audi fac­tory, while sup­plies last.

The new range goes on sale at the sug­gested price of NT$2.46 mil­lion for the en­try-level TT and NT$3.12 mil­lion for the TTS.
