As the Mid-Au­tumn Fes­ti­val (中秋節) ap­proaches, Man­darin Ori­en­tal, Taipei (臺北文華東方酒店) presents an as­sort­ment of won­der­ful hand­made cus­tard Can­tonese moon­cakes to celebrate the sea­son of fam­ily re­union.

For the oc­ca­sion, Ex­ec­u­tive Chi­nese Chef Tin Mo Wong has hand­picked a va­ri­ety of the finest in­gre­di­ents to cre­ate his se­cret recipe for in­no­va­tive cus­tard moon­cakes. Priced at NT$2,388, each box con­tains eight pieces in four fla­vors: Jin­hua ham egg cus­tard (金華火腿奶黃), abalone and Mat­su­take cus­tard (鮑魚松茸奶黃), aged gin­seng egg cus­tard (陳年人參奶黃) and pump­kin seeds and mung bean egg cus­tard (南瓜子綠豆奶黃).
