Toy­ota RAV4 cross­over sales reach a record high in July, says lo­cal agent

Sales of Toy­ota’s RAV4 cross­over in Tai­wan reached 2,752 units in July, set­ting a new monthly record since the model went on sale in the do­mes­tic mar­ket, ac­cord­ing to a lo­cal agent.

Ho­tai Mo­tor Co., Tai­wan’s largest au­to­mo­bile re­tailer and the dis­trib­u­tor of Toy­ota and Lexus cars, said in a news re­lease on Mon­day that the RAV4 re­mained the best-selling sport util­ity ve­hi­cle (SUV) in Tai­wan last month af­ter its lo­cal sales passed 2,000 units in June.

Led by the pop­u­lar­ity of the RAV4 and Altis mod­els, Ho­tai Mo­tor sold 17,306 cars in Tai­wan in July, its best monthly re­sult in al­most 10 years and ex­pand­ing its mar­ket
