New e-Tourist Visa for Taiwan
Starting today, Aug. 15, applicants from Taiwan can apply online for an e-Tourist Visa (e-TV) for recreation, sightseeing, meeting friends or relatives, short duration medical treatment or casual business visits in India. The e-TV is singleentry, valid up to 30 days, non-extendable and non-convertible. The prescribed fee of US$60 per person (excluding interchange charges for credit/debit cards) is to be paid online.
The online application should be made at least four days in advance of the date of arrival in India. An e-TV authorization will be sent to the email ID provided by the applicant. The visitor is expected to travel to India with this authorization along with a passport with minimum six-month validity.
The e-TV authorization can be used only at designated international airports, which at the moment are Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata, Trivandrum, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Kochi, Goa, Ahmedabad, Amritsar, Gaya, Jaipur, Lucknow, Thiruchirapalli and Varanasi.
