The Pakistani community in Taipei celebrated Pakistan’s Independence Day on Aug. 14 and had an Eid Milan party together.

The venue of the event was Taipei Grand Mosque. It was a huge get-together of Pakistani expats, Pakistani emigrants with their families and kids, fans of Pakistan in Taiwan as well as Pakistani students studying at different Taiwanese universities and many local Taiwanese friends. The celebrations included the singing of Pakistan’s national anthem, patriotic songs and a spread of Pakistani delicacies.

The event also honored members, the coordinators and the management of the Ramadan Committee (which managed arrangements for the month of Ramadan — the Islamic month of fasting — less than a month ago) for their help and diligence in serving around 300 to 400 Muslims every day during that month.
