Pak­istan in­de­pen­dence day feted in Taoyuan

The Tai­wan Pak­istan Wel­fare As­so­ci­a­tion and the Pak­istani com­mu­nity in Tai­wan cel­e­brated the 69th In­de­pen­dence Day of Pak­istan on Aug. 14 with tra­di­tional fer­vor and re­solve to make Pak­istan a strong, dy­namic, pro­gres­sive, tol­er­ant and demo­cratic Is­lamic wel­fare state.

The Chair­man of the Tai­wan Pak­istan Wel­fare As­so­ci­a­tion Nazim Ali in his mes­sage said that the In­de­pen­dence Day is the most aus­pi­cious oc­ca­sion in the Pak­istani na­tional cal­en­dar as it not only re­minds Pak­ista­nis of the great sac­ri­fices of their fore­fa­thers that were made for se­cur­ing con­tem­po­rary Pak­istan’s so­cioe­co­nomic, re­li­gious and cul­tural free­dom but it also pro­vides an op­por­tu­nity to re­it­er­ate their sup­port for those ideals that led to the cre­ation of an in­de­pen­dent and sov­er­eign state.
