Phillips scores 11th, Red Bulls un­beaten streak 6

Bradley Wright- Phillips scored his fifth goal in six games as the New York Red Bulls beat Toronto FC 3- 0 on Satur­day night to ex­tend their Ma­jor League Soc­cer un­beaten streak to six games.

An­thony Wal­lace iced it with a sec­ond- half goal and goal­keeper Luis Robles made three saves in set­ting a fran­chise record with 26 shutouts. Ar­gen­tine new­comer Gon­zalo Veron scored his first goal as a Red Bull in sec­ond- half stop­page to close out the scor­ing.

New York is within five points of first- place DC United in the Eastern Con­fer­ence with three games in hand

In Sandy, Utah, Nat Borchers scored in stop­page time to lift Port­land past Real Salt Lake.

Borchers headed down Diego Va­leri’s cor­ner kick past goal­keeper Nick Ri­mando. Ri­mando had con­ceded the cor­ner with a div­ing save of Max­i­m­il­iano Ur­ruti’s right- footed blast from the top of the 18- yard box.

Rob­bie Keane scored twice to help the Los An­ge­les Gal­axy beat FC Dal­las 2- 1.

The win­ner came in the 55th minute. Keane fed Mex­i­can new­comer Gio­vani dos San­tos into the penalty area. The for­ward’s first ef­fort was blocked by Dan Kennedy, but dos San­tos chipped it far post, where Keane headed it home.

Michael Bar­ros scored for Dal­las.

Sport­ing Kansas City edged the Van­cou­ver White­caps 4- 3 thanks to two late goals from Paulo Naga­mura.

Naga­mura equal­ized in the 87th minute, fin­ish­ing Chance My­ers’ cross with a laser from be­hind the area. Naga­mura then fin­ished Soni Mus­ti­var’s cross with a glanc­ing header in the fourth minute of stop­page time.
