MasterCard announces its ‘World Elite’ credit card in 1st for Taiwan
MasterCard unveiled its “World Elite MasterCard” credit card, which will be released in Taiwan for the first time. MasterCard says the new card will provide even more options catering to the innermost needs of customers. It will offer “priceless experiences” and “reinterpret the definition of abundance.”
By using the World Elite MasterCard, which will be available from the Chinatrust Commercial Bank, MasterCard invites the elite in Taiwan to experience a luxurious lifestyle.
According to a MasterCard world wealth report, by 2017 about 1 billion wealthy people are estimated to be concentrated in the Asia- Pacific, Middle East and Africa.
With their wealth rising at an annual growth rate of 8 percent, the regions will become the areas where wealth is growing the fastest by the end of 2015. Tapping into more than 1,000 rich people, the momentum and rapid change in the Asia-Pacific region is shaping its affluent population. In addition, compared with the worldwide wealthy population in which only 17 percent is less than 45 years old, the Asia-Pacific wealthy population are at the peak of their careers, are younger and are escaping from traditional values.
Not only do they pay more attention to material life, but they also challenge themselves to grow as individuals and are eager to make the effort to obtain wealth for the improvement of their family life and bring their families the best experiences, said Mastercard.
Eva Chen, head of MasterCard Taiwan, said that MasterCard has an insight into the changing needs of the global wealthy population. With the change in the idea of wealth, the average expenses to income ratio of the Asia-Pacific wealthy population has reached 70 percent, and the idea of “rewarding yourself and your family with a whole new experience” has become even more important. This is the impetus behind the launch of the “World Elite MasterCard.” MasterCard is honored to launch the first “World Elite MasterCard” in partnership with Chinatrust Commercial Bank in Taiwan and join insiders worldwide to provide unprecedented invaluable experiences for Taiwan’s wealthy population.
Since MasterCard has profound knowledge of the pursuit of life experiences for the wealthy, it has brought together many resources to launch its “World Elite MasterCard,” with what it describes as great benefits for “insiders.” Through the three pledges of “carefree travel, live in style and peace of mind,” the new credit card service introduces a full range of exclusive services such as private travel consultants, lifestyle secretaries and global security, and devotes itself to meeting the needs and desires of each individual cardholder.
The MasterCard report goes on to note that the top three interests among wealthy AsiaPacific people are tourism ( 30 percent), cuisine ( 23 percent) and golf ( 13 percent).
