The 2015 Yilan Triathlon Sep. 5-6 will be sponsored by Columbia Threadneedle Investments, which has invited Snowsill to share her competition and training experience with Taiwanese triathletes, the CTTA said.

The 2015 Yilan Triathlon will comprise four events — standard distance, standard distance team-relay, sprint distance, and sprint distance team-relay.

Snowsill, 34, was the first ever triathlete to win a gold medal in the International Triathlon Union ( ITU) World Cup, the Commonwealth Games, and the Olympics.

Although she has retired from professional competition, she is still enthusiastic about triathlons and has agreed to participate in the event in Taiwan, according to the organizers.
