Tai­wan film fes­ti­val, food fair open in New Zealand

A Tai­wan film fes­ti­val and Tai­wanese food fair opened at the Sylvia Park shop­ping cen­ter in the Auck­land sub­urb of Mount Welling­ton in New Zealand Fri­day, ac­cord­ing to a state­ment re­leased by Tai­wan’s rep­re­sen­ta­tive of­fice in Auck­land.

The events, jointly or­ga­nized by the Tai­wanese Busi­ness As­so­ci­a­tion of New Zealand and Tai­wanese Ju­nior Busi­ness As­so­ci­a­tion New Zealand, are a lead up to the Re­pub­lic of China Na­tional Day cel­e­bra­tions, the of­fice said.

The films that are be­ing screened at the fes­ti­val in­clude “Ev­er­last­ing Glory,” “Good Luck! Boy” and “The Frogville.”

The food fair, mean­while, brought to­gether Tai­wanese restau­ra­teurs in Auck­land. Chefs from Tai­wan’s King Join res­tau­rant and Ful­lon Ho­tels and Re­sorts were also in­vited to give a demon­stra­tion of their culi­nary skills.
