Cher­ish wa­ter and love Tai­wan

To draw in­ter­na­tional at­ten­tion to wa­ter re­source is­sues, the United Na­tions marked the years be­tween 2005 and 2015 as the “Wa­ter For Life Decade.” We are mark­ing this year the end of the 10-year global cam­paign and, co­in­ci­den­tally, Tai­wan has suf­fered the worst drought in 67 years this year. With this ob­ser­va­tion in mind, the Far Eastern Group has launched the “Tai­wan Wa­ter — Foun­tain of Life” ex­hi­bi­tion to in­vite the public to “cher­ish wa­ter and love Tai­wan!”

The ex­hibit fea­tures sen­sa­tional dis­plays, in­clud­ing a sim­u­la­tion of real tor­ren­tial rain and drought that you can ex­pe­ri­ence with an um­brella to make you re­flect on the is­sues re­lated to cli­mate change. Also, a gi­gan­tic globe on the third floor high­lights wa­ter dis­as­ters that hu­man­ity is now fac­ing.

“Tai­wan Wa­ter, Foun­tain of Life” is pre­sented at the FE Eco­Park, Taipei Flora Expo Park. It is open be­tween 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. on Fri­days, Satur­days and Sun­days, as well as

dur­ing na­tional hol­i­days.
