Do­mes­tic air fares set to be low­ered Oct. 30 af­ter fall­ing fuel costs: CAA

Fares for do­mes­tic flights will be low­ered Oct. 30 to re­flect fall­ing fuel costs, the Civil Aero­nau­tics Ad­min­is­tra­tion (CAA) said Thurs­day.

Ac­cord­ing to prices pub­lished Thurs­day by the state-run oil re­fin­ery CPC Corp., Tai­wan, jet fuel in Tai­wan has av­er­aged NT$15.98 per liter over the past three months, be­low the NT$16.23 per liter thresh­old trig­ger­ing a mark­down in do­mes­tic air fares, the CAA said.

The CAA said it has re­quested do­mes­tic air car­ri­ers to sub­mit their new prices to the ad­min­is­tra­tion.
