Most of­fice work­ers say they feel stressed, with work as the big­gest con­tribut­ing fac­tor: sur­vey

The ma­jor­ity of of­fice work­ers in Tai­wan are un­der stress, with work be­ing the big­gest source of their pres­sure, ac­cord­ing to a sur­vey re­leased Mon­day by an online job bro­ker.

The sur­vey by 1111 Job Bank showed that 91 per­cent of of­fice work­ers feel stressed, with 59.3 per­cent iden­ti­fy­ing their jobs as the source of the prob­lem.

Another 39.8 per­cent pointed to the state of the do­mes­tic econ­omy, while 16.5 per­cent said a busy lifestyle or time pres­sures were caus­ing stress.

The sources of work-re­lated stress men­tioned by the work­ers in­cluded a lack of prospects, deal­ing with dif­fi­cult or in­com­pe­tent su­per­vi­sors, rac­ing against time and fail­ing to get a pay hike or pro­mo­tion for years.
