Soc­cer clubs urged to fol­low Azam FC lead

SOC­CER stake­hold­ers have ap­plauded Azam FC for launch­ing a sports shop whereby soc­cer mer­chan­dise for the re­spec­tive clubs can be found at a rea­son­able price.

Last week, Azam FC of­fi­cially opened sports shop lo­cated at Mkun­guni and Swahili street at Kari­akoo area in Dar es Salaam which will sell all qual­ity prod­ucts with its brand.

Stake­hold­ers called on other foot­ball clubs to be more cre­ative in or­der to sat­isfy soc­cer fans in the coun­try by es­tab­lish­ing sports ware shops and qual­ity play­ing grounds.

“Sea­soned clubs Yanga and Simba have never thought of com­ing up with such idea de­spite the huge fan base they en­joy,” said a soc­cer fan Shomari Mkembe who at­tended Azam sports shop launch.

He said Azam FC de­spite be­ing one among the new­est clubs has wit­nessed its man­age­ment do thing pro­fes­sion­al­ism such as hav­ing its own sta­dium at Chamazi in the out­skirts of Dar es Salaam, a TV sta­tion and now sports shop.

Speak­ing dur­ing the launch, Azam FC CEO Said Kawemba said the sports shop apart from of­fer­ing soc­cer kits, it will also sell exercise books, pens, pen­cils and many stuffs with the com­pany’s logo.

He said the team’s aim is to en­sure all of its fans en­joy soc­cer as well as their prod­ucts which are of best qual­ity that ev­ery customer and fans can en­joy.

“For so long we have been re­ceiv­ing re­quests from our fans call­ing for a spe­cial sports ware and we do hope we have fi­nally sat­is­fied their need,” said Kawemba.
