Soccer clubs urged to follow Azam FC lead
SOCCER stakeholders have applauded Azam FC for launching a sports shop whereby soccer merchandise for the respective clubs can be found at a reasonable price.
Last week, Azam FC officially opened sports shop located at Mkunguni and Swahili street at Kariakoo area in Dar es Salaam which will sell all quality products with its brand.
Stakeholders called on other football clubs to be more creative in order to satisfy soccer fans in the country by establishing sports ware shops and quality playing grounds.
“Seasoned clubs Yanga and Simba have never thought of coming up with such idea despite the huge fan base they enjoy,” said a soccer fan Shomari Mkembe who attended Azam sports shop launch.
He said Azam FC despite being one among the newest clubs has witnessed its management do thing professionalism such as having its own stadium at Chamazi in the outskirts of Dar es Salaam, a TV station and now sports shop.
Speaking during the launch, Azam FC CEO Said Kawemba said the sports shop apart from offering soccer kits, it will also sell exercise books, pens, pencils and many stuffs with the company’s logo.
He said the team’s aim is to ensure all of its fans enjoy soccer as well as their products which are of best quality that every customer and fans can enjoy.
“For so long we have been receiving requests from our fans calling for a special sports ware and we do hope we have finally satisfied their need,” said Kawemba.
