Poll finds hon­esty is key for vot­ers

The Suan Dusit Poll sur­veyed 1,034 peo­ple across the coun­try to find out which fac­tors will most in­flu­ence vot­ers’ choice of can­di­date. The poll found that 27.9% of all re­spon­dents chose hon­esty; while 25.1% chose knowl­edge and ca­pa­bil­ity. Per­sonal back­ground came third at 16.1%, fol­lowed by ed­u­ca­tion at 15.8%, and po­lit­i­cal ex­pe­ri­ence at 14.8%.

The poll also found that grad­u­ates in the field of eco­nomics were pre­ferred by 41.2% of all re­spon­dents — fol­lowed by po­lit­i­cal sci­ence at 22%; busi­ness ad­min­is­tra­tion at 14.7%; law at 14.5%; and de­vel­op­ment ad­min­is­tra­tion at 7.4%.
