WILD BOARS RES­CUER DIES AF­TER FIRE

SAFETY: In­ter­na­tional Ed­u­ca­tion De­vel­op­ment In­sti­tute di­rec­tor and Tham Luang res­cuer Ni­ti­pat Ni­tipongsakul has died af­ter fight­ing a fire at a per­fume fac­tory in Bangkok’s Rat Bu­rana District on Fri­day evening.

The fire broke out in one of the fac­tory’s chem­i­cal tanks at 6.23 pm on Fri­day.

Ni­ti­pat, also deputy head of the district’s civil de­fence vol­un­teer group, joined a fire­fighter team to help put out the fire. He was later pro­nounced dead at Ra­jbu­rana Hos­pi­tal.
