PTT subsidies to boost local tourism

-

State-owned PTT Plc has set aside 18 million baht for 5,000-baht travel subsidies for its employees, to boost local tourism in the fourth quarter.

Auttapol Rerkpiboon, PTT president and CEO, said its board approved the programme in principle. The subsidies, to be used for domestic tourism, would be valid in October-December.

PTT proposes to allocate the money to each of its 3,800 staff, he said, noting only PTT Plc plans to offer the programme, but its subsidiaries are free to follow suit.
